Hey All,

I am currently residing in boarding school. I have internet access in the boarding school but, despite my best efforts, have been unable to get any form of connection. I have tried a variety of different clients and methods none of which seem to work.

I am really stuck for ideas now, Anyone that is feeling kind and would like to give me a hand please do so. I am sure you require more information, all you have to do is ask.

Cheers.

In all likelihood you are behind a firewall. They are probably blocking access to all but port 80 (http) and quite possibly forwarding that through a proxy server. I would suggest there isn't much you can do about it, short of:

a) Getting a modem and running via a phone
b) Talking to the admins and convincing them that your playing a MUD would actually consume less bandwidth than other students downloading huge pictures or animations which are getting to be pretty standard on many web sites.
c) Playing offsite
